North Kinsman Woodworks was established in 2018 by carpenter-owner Timothy B. Klotz. Shortly after graduating from the University of New Hampshire, Tim moved to Franconia and immersed himself in the art of woodworking. The process of felling a tree and transforming it into a usable, beautiful product was a profound and formative experience, sparking a lifelong passion for sustainable craftsmanship.
After a decade of honing his skills with diverse building companies across New Hampshire and Maine, Tim founded North Kinsman Woodworks to realize his vision of building sustainably with local materials. Our company blends modern construction techniques with traditional woodworking expertise, delivering custom homes and woodshop creations that stand the test of time. Led by Tim, our dedicated team of carpenters is committed to creating lasting, high-quality products that our clients can take pride in.

When my wife and I purchased our "forever" home on Ocean Blvd in Rye, NH, a local, reputable contractor referred us to Tim Klotz for some significant renovations we needed to have completed. What an OUTSTANDINGING referral! Tim is a professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, hardworking carpenter/craftsman that truly knows the business. His attention to detail is second to none. Tim added a two-story addition to the front of our house surrounded by a large, elevated deck that provides stunning views of the ocean. This task included building and setting the formwork and managing the concrete pours for required foundations. Tim also raised the ceilings in our living room by removing the existing structure and installing the necessary posts and beams as required by code. Once the structural/framing work was completed, Tim installed the sheathing, house wrap, siding, and all the doors and windows. Work performed by Tim was inspected by the Rye Building Inspectors and consistently passed all inspections without a single issue.
